At the SAG awards, where actors celebrate each other and the work of the previous year, the red carpet is often a showcase for comfortable and edgy fashion. Let’s take a look at our favorite fashion from the SAG Awards 2014 Red Carpet.
Lupita Nyong’o in Gucci
The turquoise color of this gown is so vibrant and modern, while the floral collar adds a touch of romance to this gown.
Sarah Hyland in Pamela Roland with Jimmy Choo purse and shoes
This baby pink dress is so sweet, very flattering and also has pockets. What more could a girl ask for in an evening gown? Her shoes are also completely adorable!
Helen Mirren in Escada
She looks so elegant in this dramatic black and gold gown. Her red lipstick and slick hairstyle compliment her ensemble further. Dame Helen proves that you don’t have to be 25 to be a red carpet head turner!
I adore the butterfly print of this dress so much. While the cut is very interesting and flattering, I’m still enamored with the beautiful black butterflies on a taupe background. Edie looks so hip and sassy, from her tousled hair to gladiator sandals.
This dress is absolutely fabulous! I love the 1930’s shape, complete with such beautiful sleeves and floral embroidery. Her braided updo shows off the neckline of this gown.
Abigail Breslin in Chagoury Couture
Wasn’t she a little girl just yesterday? Abigail looks fantastic, in a strapless gown with an adorable sparkly jacket. Her hair, makeup and accessories still look cool, but youthful. You can’t help feeling Abigail would be one of the coolest girls at the prom- that is if the SAG awards were a prom. How fun would that be?
She may be known for her sharp tongue, but she should be recognized for her sharp fashion choice in the selection of this dress. From the brilliant blue that complimented her wonderfully, to the artful sleeves and peplum, this dress is a winner!
Julia Roberts in Valentino
I don’t usually like jumpsuits. But, this perfectly draped, rose-colored jumpsuit is a total winner for me, especially when paired with Julia’s gorgeous hair and one of my top three picks of the night.
Sandra Bullock in Lanvin
This dress is one my favorite of the red carpet season thus far. The beautiful, just shiny enough, green dress is really lovely. I love the well-engineered slit. The strapless neckline fits perfectly and it makes Sandra look relaxed and happy. Well, the rosy makeup and the just so coif help her overall, too. This dress is one of my top three picks of the night.
Hannah Simone in Marchesa
I was talking about prom earlier and if the SAG awards were a prom, you are looking at your queen! This dress is my absolute favorite gown of the night. This gown is perfect from its lovely, soft color, to the perfectly structured draping and cut and crowned with a beautiful floral neckline. Hannah’s hair and makeup are perfect.
Matthew McConaughey– Matthew continues his winning streak with this Dolce & Gabbana suit. The jacket has a great pattern on it. It’s alive, but not too busy. I love the vest too.
Kevin Spacey- The tux fits well, but what really drew my attention is the thin bowtie. That’s a really cool touch.
Ty Burrell- Blue is a great color on Ty. His bowtie has a unique shape as well. This jacket could fit him better, but overall it’s a good look.
Paul Dano– This outfit plays with color well. The different but complimentary colors of the suit, shirt, bowtie and shoes show that you can use different colors and still stay subtle.
James Marsden– I love this shade of blue. His suit fits great, but that blue is really the star
Benedict Cumberbatch– His look is simplistic, but the fit is phenomenal.
