Baby G’s Favorite Songs
We are so excited for the birth of our son. It’s so hard to believe that he’ll be here in just a few short months. We are learning so much about him now that he’s so active. He’s very active at night, he gets angry when he’s hungry and he loves it when Mommy and Daddy talk or read to each other. He also has some very definite opinions about music (we mentioned this in his 28 week update) and we think that’s so cute. Although we could probably have expected that since Baby G has two parents who are critics/bloggers that he might be opinionated too! We know he loves songs with a strong bass line, anything patriotic and anything that’s a marching band. Here are some of what seem to be his favorite song to listen to.
“Eye of the Tiger” and “Gonna Fly Now (Theme from Rocky)” both from Rocky– This little guy has loved Rocky and the music from it since the first time we watched it. I now listen to this several times a day. We’re both a little obsessed with it.
“Wake Me Up” by Aloe Blaac- He LOVES this song.
“Dive” by Steven Curtis Chapman- This song really makes him move. It really touches my heart to know that my little son is already moving to praise music.
“We Got the Beat” by The Go-Gos- This was a recent discovery, but he goes crazy in just a few seconds. (I’m listening to it as I write this and he kicked so big just now!)
“1812 Overture” and “You’re a Grand Old Flag”– He loves all patriotic music (think anything you’d see at a fireworks display) but these are definitely his two favorites. Sometimes we even just sing “You’re a Grand Old Flag” and he starts moving.
“Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis Presley- He starts moving before “Warden threw a party…” and he really seems to like Elvis in general, but this is his favorite song.
“Quando M’en Vo”– Just to prove he’s our little eccentric he loves opera, if Sierra Boggess sings it. He loves this song. I’m so glad we discovered it when we reviewed her CD recently. Baby G really likes her voice.
