This post is part of our The Voice Season Eight Fantasy League. Check out our teams list here!
The second night of battles for The Voice season eight was very exciting for the members of Team Kari! My fantasy league team made an extremely strong showing. Let’s take a look at last night’s battles!
Blaze Johnson (Team Kari) vs. Michael Leier (Team Kari) singing “Rude”
I was really worried that I would lose someone in this battle. While I agree that Blaze should have won, I really like Michael and I wish he would have been stolen!
Cody Wickline (Team Kari) vs. Matt Snook singing “How Country Feels”
Yay! Cody won hands-down. I hate the song, but I really thought that he gave the better performance. Meghan Trainor and Blake are an awesome team and it looks like he’s blossoming under their advice.
Deanna Johnson (Team Kari) vs. Nicolettte Mare singing “Love Me Like You Do”
We didn’t get to see this battle (grrrr), and even though I don’t like the song Deanna won and I’m glad she’s still on my team.
Meghan Linsey (Team Kari) vs. Paul Pfau singing “Don’t Let Me Down”
Meghan has an amazing voice and I really think she won the battle. I’m so glad that she got stolen!
My team tally is now 11 members (1 Team Pharrell, 2 Team Adam, 5 Team Blake, 3 Team Xtina) so I think Team Kari is doing a great job! I’m looking forward to next week!
Between these two episodes over half of my team has competed, sometimes against each other. I was pretty nervous about the outcome. Here’s what happened to my team last night.
Anthony Riley (Team RJ) vs. Travis Ewing (Team RJ) singing “Get Ready”
Anthony did a great job and really deserved to win. I was glad that Travis got stolen though, because while his performance wasn’t quite as good, I still thought he deserved to stay in the competition.
Sonic (Team RJ) vs. Ameera Delandro singing “Masterpiece”
Thank you Christina for picking the right winner. She did great.
Hannah Kirby (Team RJ) vs. Sarah Potenza singing “Gimme Shelter”
I was sad that Hannah didn’t win this battle because she’s the more versatile performer, but then really happy that she was able to stick around.
So now, even though my team isn’t quite undefeated all 7 of my contestants have advanced into the Knockout Round my team is still 12 strong. I know we can’t keep this roll up forever, but it’s awesome that it’s going on this long! Great job Team RJ!
