When you are pinching pennies a free lunch is always a good thing. Dressing up is fun. The marriage of dressing up in costume and free food is a winning combination for sure! Today for Cow Appreciation Day, you can enjoy a free entree or meal at Chick-fil-A, if you dress up as a cow. Partial attire (purse, hat, etc.) will get you an entree at a full costume will get you a meal. Since we love costumes, are pinching pennies and are shameless here’s what we did to dress up for Cow Appreciation Day.
Kari wanted to be a chic cow. She used an H&M dress, white tights, black marabou trimmed purse and red heels to create the base of her outfit. We also made a “chic” chicken sign and attached lots of cow spots (some of which blew away), used black and white bowed headbands for ears and created a necklace. We used the base of an old pearl costume necklace and Kari made a pendant out of a cow spot Chick-fil-A sticker.
Scotch tape+ a sticker+ pearl necklace= instant campy costume fun that’s also totally able to be undone.
RJ wanted to be comfortable and functional. We simple attached a sign and spots to his shorts, ball cap and shirt.
Baby G is still too little for Chick-fil-A but he definitely was excited seeing us in our costumes. I think by next year he’ll want to dress up too.
