I love film festival red carpets because you get to enjoy seeing both fun cocktail-style dresses and glamorous evening ensembles. While the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival did disappoint in the daytime outfit department, it was not without glamour in the evenings. Here’s a look at my favorite outfits from the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival:
Reese Witherspoon in Ulyana Sergeenko
This flirty pink and silver sparkler is a total match for Reese’s fun and feminine personal style.
This dress takes the LBD (little black dress) to the next level with its perfect fit and dramatic white sash.
Felicity Jones in Gucci
Ruffles abound on this beautiful cream-colored creation. I love the chic black trim.
Dakota Fanning in Gucci
This beautiful glittering green gown is so eye-catching. I love that she paired it with a blue bag. I think sky blue and grass green is a terribly chic and somewhat shocking palette. My favorite outfit in college was this color combination.
Rachel Weisz in Alexander McQueen
Step aside ladies; Rachel Weisz is the queen of the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival in this gown. This ethereal, flowing, perfectly floral be-decked dress is bound to be one of my best-dressed picks of the year. It almost becomes more beautiful the longer that you look at it. And her hair and makeup are pitch perfect too.
The 2016 Toronto International Film Festival has been a good place to see some fall fashion on display on famous men. Here are some of my favorites.
This biker jacket look is very Ewan. It’s a little more daring than some would go, but on him it works well.
I love this dapper throwback look. The cut and fit is very retro, and I love the vest!
Nick’s look is a big risk, but he pulls it off. The bright pink of the shirt and tie set off the red of the suit very nicely. I even like the shoes in this case.
His look is super classic and the tailoring, especially in the pant leg, is perfect.
I used to wear a banded neck collar all the time in high school, and think it’s a great look. Ethan wears it very well.
Camila Alves in Monique Lhuillier and Matthew McConaughey
She Said: I love this beautiful white lace dress, not only for its lovely shape and off-the-shoulder neckline. But the combination of the beautiful floral detail paired with lace and her amazing hair!
He Said: The earthy color combination of this suit works very well. It’s a great match for his wife.
Who do you think had the best outfit on the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival red carpet?
