We love fall in our family for so many reasons! The colors are gorgeous, we adore apples and we have a lot of great holidays to celebrate in fall. Fall just isn’t complete without a visit to a pumpkin patch. In Northern Virginia, we’re blessed to have what we consider to be one of the best places to celebrate fall, Cox Family Farms. Check out 4 reasons not to miss out on visiting the Cox Farms Fall Festival
The Photo Opportunities
One of my favorite things about attending the Cox Farms Fall Festival are all the fantastic photo opportunities. Whether it’s posing with pumpkins or delightfully whimsical items like a pumpkin carriage. You’re bound to walk away with some great fall family images. (Hello, Christmas card season is coming soon!)
The Kiddie Stuff
While it’s true that Cox Family Farms Fall Festival has crazy amazing slides and corn mazes that will thrill older guests, I appreciate the amount of care put into the Kiddie Zone. Our son is almost two and was not quite ready for the big slides. But, he had so much fun in the Kiddie Zone he cried to leave it and asked to go back. Kids have so many options to climb, slide and explore. G especially loved all the fun candy decorations! With so many things to see, touch and experience, you can keep your kids occupied for hours.
Life is so hectic right now that I forget to really look around when I’m outside. I loved that for a few minutes all I had to do was look at the colors of fall. And if there’s a smell of kettle corn in the air, that made it even better!
The Festival Market
You can get everything from canned preserves to doughnuts to the most amazing kettle corn you will ever have at the Festival Market. And there’s no way to resist the beautiful bevy of pumpkins, squash and Indian corn. If you haven’t bought your fall decorations- go now! And if you’re looking for some awesome treats for a Halloween party, you can’t beat kettle corn and apple cider doughnuts as sweet treats. The Festival Market is open daily from 10am- 6pm (5pm in November).
And I didn’t even mention how much fun it is to hear live music or chuck apples and pumpkins from a slingshot. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate fall and enjoy this beautiful weather before winter sets in, make plans today to visit the Cox Farms Fall Festival.
