Easter weekend is upon us. I can’t believe it’s actually Good Friday. Between dealing with the loss of my Pappaw, being pregnant with Z, taking care of G and a million things, it really sneaked up on me this year. While I be spending the next 24 hours alternating trying to bake, cook and clean like a maniac and put my feet up, here’s a taste of what we may be listening to, watching and reading for Easter. We do allow for some fun non-religious stuff, but we always make sure that we keep a focus on what Jesus did for us on the cross. I learn more and more all the time that the old song from my childhood is true,
“Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.”
And not only tomorrow, even death. As you take time to enjoy your ham or lamb, and admire the beautiful delicate colors of the season, make sure you take some time to reflect on the wonderful God that gave us all this. Remember, our humble Savior Jesus and his suffering and a loving God who would sacrifice his only son (John 3:16) and the wonderful helper of the Holy Spirit who leads us daily until Christ’s return.
We hope that you have a blessed Easter and join us in celebrating our risen Savior! Wishing you a peaceful and joyful holiday!
