One of our favorite traditions at Christmas time is visiting Busch Gardens Christmas Town in Williamsburg, Virginia. Each year we have fun with favorite Christmas Town items like their awesome ice show, seeing the beautiful lights and enjoying the yummy peppermint fudge cocoa. But, it’s always fun to see what’s new! Here’s a look at our favorite things that are new for Christmas Town in 2017.
Cookies and Cocoa
This adorable shop serves up cookies in a darling German house (that used to be Santa’s Workshop, wait until you see his new digs). You can mix and match your favorite classic cookie flavors including chocolate chip, red velvet, oatmeal raisin and more. Kiddos can have fun with cookie decorating kits. And we’re definitely fans of the idea of fun flavors of hot cocoa too.
Santa’s Workshop has to be a magical place right? Well, Christmas Town doesn’t hold anything back in the absolutely enormous and festive place that Santa is working out of this holiday. G was thrilled with all the lights, the workshop and of course meeting Santa. Kudos to all the elves and toy soldiers helping to keep the crowds corralled and happy, because they managed to be completely in character and charm little ones all at once.
Gift of Harmony
Shows are one of our favorite parts of visiting a theme park and Busch Gardens never disappoints with great shows. The new show this year is a fun, high energy show performed with incredible acapella performers. Their beat boxing and harmonies will have you on your feet and ready to cheer.
Rudolph Movie Experience
This is G’s first big boy Christmas and he’s really enjoying Rudolph this year. He had so much fun at the new Rudolph Movie Experience. The sing-along, the cute set that whisks you away to the North Pole and the shorter, but still true to the classic special script all make this a must for anyone visiting with kids. (Rudolph fans will want to make sure to get their picture taken with characters nearby too!)
We look forward to Christmas Town all year and here are just a few favorites that you cannot miss
The Food- especially from Marco Polo
The carolers! Is there anything more perfect for Christmas than hearing carolers sing in a tiny English village setting?
The lights and decorations. The whole park is beautifully and uniquely decorated.
The shows. We love the shows! Deck the Halls, ‘Twas that Night, Gloria– go see a show! You’ll be glad that you did.
