How is it already December?! Not only is it December but also Christmas is rapidly approaching. There are lots of items on everyone’s to–do list and frankly some of them can become very stressful. But thanks to Fair Oaks Mall, visiting Santa doesn’t have to be one of them. Your kiddos can visit Santa’s Flight Academy, have a blast and you’ll leave with a darling photo for years to come.
Santa Flight academy is beautifully decorated with Santa’s enormous sleigh filled with presents that you can see sparkling in the distance. But, Santa needs help with his sleigh and your little one has the chance to help. When you first enter Santa’s Flight Academy you create a badge with your little one’s name, picture and elf avatar. Our son G loved that he got to help Santa and had fun making his ID badge and working through the many interactive stations. He really loved seeing his face and name on the different screens and helping Santa fill his sleigh with presents. His favorite part, and the part that Mommy loved the most too, was the dance party! Lights, music and snow falling from the ceiling make for some magical moments. He loved it and kept saying, “wow Mommy” and “look it’s snow!” Heart-melt moments for sure!
The experience is fun not just because of the beautiful ambience and the fun stations for the kids to play but also for the people working at the exhibit. Santa’s helpers were patient, fun and friendly. Santa Claus was merry and G is still talking about how Santa gave him a card game. (And now we want to see the new movie Ferdinand too because the cards are so cute). He has talked about the card game gift almost every time that Santa has been mentioned. It really made him smile. Plus, he’s still running around wearing his elf id!
The big question for any Santa visiting experience is “do they get good photos?”
SUCCESS! This picture rocks. They were so good at getting both of my boys (the oldest doesn’t like pictures sometimes) to look at the camera. I love this picture.
I’m still learning to navigate the world as mom with two kids, so some traditions will have to be simpler this year. But we couldn’t miss out on seeing Santa and I’m so excited to have such a sweet picture of my boys, plus have gotten to spend some quality time with our oldest in the process. Whether your kids “believe” in Santa or whether he’s just fun to pretend about like Mickey Mouse, your kids will love this fun, engaging experience. And I say let loose Mama and dance with your babies at the elf dance party!
Merry Christmas and make sure to plan your visit to Santa’s Flight Academy today!
